J. Rocco Ruggieri
92, of Venice FL, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2015, at Venice Hospice House, FL. He was the beloved husband of the late Theresa (Farina) Ruggieri. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Maria (Iacueo) Ruggieri. Mr. Ruggieri was the sole proprietor of Ruggieri's Market for many years until his retirement. He was a member of the Little Rhody Beagle Club and Thornton Beagle Club; a former member of Alpine Country Club. He was an avid golfer and outdoorsmen.
Rocco is survived by his loving children, Paulette Bisignano of Venice, FL, Peter and Michael Ruggieri all of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of six and great-grandfather of seven. He was also the brother of the late Antoinette Mooney, Henrietta Sepe, Constance Renzi-Maksymowicz, Mary Geremia, Theresa Guglietta, Vincy Holt, Charlie, Joseph, and Frank Ruggieri.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 17th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Apostle's Church, Cranston. Entombment will be held in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum, in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Autism Society of Rhode Island, P.O. Box 16603 Rumford, RI, 02916.
