Jack A. Pirie
89, of Cranston, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Gloria L. (Cedrone) Pirie and the late Margaret M. (McKay) Pirie. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he was the son of the late George A. and Jessie (Colognori) Pirie
Jack was a district manager at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for 30 years before retiring and was a former member of Valley and Quidnessett Country Clubs.
He was the devoted father of Dr. George W. Pirie of Warwick, Valerie Pirie of Woonsocket and Gordon Pirie of Cranston; loving grandfather of Jacqueline Mears, Jonathan Pirie and Brittany Pirie; loving great-grandfather of Matthew and Emma Mears and Ella Pirie; and dear brother of Dora Aleicho of Newport and the late Victor and Andrew Pirie and Margaret Jones.
His funeral service and burial will be private.
