Jacqueline (Bicknell) Logiodice

born on May 25, 1951, in Providence, RI, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, whose free spirit and love for life left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to know her.

Jackie grew up in Cranston, graduating from Cranston East High School in 1969. She pursued higher education at the University of Rhode Island, earning both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, a testament to her commitment to learning and personal growth. Embarking on a career as a speech pathologist, Jackie dedicated many years to the Westerly School Department, where her loving, caring, and outgoing personality seamlessly helped to support the needs of her students before retiring in 2015.

Jackie was a woman of many interests and talents. Her love for music was cultivated at an early age and stayed with her for life. She could always be found humming or singing, almost always in tune. Always challenging herself, later in life Jackie decided to learn to play the ukulele, take up learning Italian, and join a sewing group, delighting in the challenge and relishing the wins that come with learning a new skill. Active for as long as her body allowed, Jackie ran many Blessing of the Fleet road races, practiced yoga, and always enjoyed the outdoors. When running became too difficult, she enjoyed walks on the wall, which later led to sitting on her porch and watching the birds. She loved her garden and flowers. She loved baking, especially brownies and cookies, both with and for friends and family.

Family was at the core of Jackie’s heart and undoubtedly her proudest accomplishment. She shared a loving marriage of 44 years with her husband, James P. Logiodice, a partnership built on mutual respect and deep affection. Together, they raised two children: their son, Jameson T. Logiodice (wife Lori) and their daughter, Dorothy A. Logiodice. Jackie was a devoted grandmother to Asher and Declan Logiodice, who brought her immeasurable joy. A cherished sister to Jeffrey Bicknell and Frederick “Rick” Bicknell, and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends and loved ones who have supported her through the years, including Dyan Dyer, her lifelong friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest J. Jr. and Fay (Rogers) Bicknell, as well as her brother, Ernest J. “Jerry” Bicknell, III, whose memories she carried with her always.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 9am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.
