a�� 63 of Cranston, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Kent Hospital, Warwick. Born in Providence, he was a son of Virginia (Paparelli) Buco of Cranston and the late Edward G. Buco. James was a mental health worker in the Forensic Unit at Eleanor Slater Hospital, State of RI, Cranston for twenty-six years before retiring in 2002. He was a graduate of URI, and received his Master of Arts Degree from RI College, Class of 1982. James was also a Registered Massage Therapist. He enjoyed Tai-Chi and studied Chinese Medicine. James was an avid guitar player and was a fan of the Greg Allman Band. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving siblings Deborah Thurber of Sarasota, FL, Guy Buco of Warwick, Joseph Buco and his companion Cheryl Feeley of Cranston, and the late Bernadette A. Turchetta. James was the uncle of Necole Jaccoppi, Guy, Jr., Laura, and Michael Buco and Tiffany Turchetta, and one great-nephew Spencer Jaccoppi. He is also survived by his very close friends John Anderson and his wife Karen and their children Sean, Kiel, and Ian. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Thursday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
