80, of Warwick, passed away on Saturday May 2, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Arline (Lebeau) Capoverdi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Antonio and Rose (Oliano) Capoverdi.
James worked in the shipping department at Mine Safety for 25 years before his retirement. He was a member of the 3rd order of the Secular Franciscan Order. He was a parishioner of St. Paul's Church and also volunteered for many years at the former St. Anthony House.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Rhonda Florio and her husband Antonio of North Providence, AnnMarie Murray and her husband John of Johnston, and Father Giacomo Capoverdi of Westerly; loving stepdaughter Jacqueline Rita and her husband Carlos of East Providence; cherished grandchildren Alexandra Chiero and her husband Anthony of Cranston, and Anthony Murray of Johnston; dear sisters Josephine Proia of Warwick, and Mary DeSimone of North Providence. He was the brother of the late Pasquale, Anthony Capoverdi, and Nancy Parrillo. He is also survived by his loving dog Sally.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Wednesday 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
