76, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at RI Hospital in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 27 years of Shirlee K. (Irons) Fleet. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Ralph and Dora (Napolitano) Fleet.
Jim was the owner of the former Fleet Printing Company and was a U.S. Air Force veteran. A lover of music, he was known as “The Legend DJ Jim”. He was a longtime NY Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan, enjoyed reading and spending quality time with his family and especially with his grandchildren.
Besides his wife Shirlee, Jim was the devoted father of Karen Ludwig (Timothy) of Margate, FL, Steven Fleet (Lisa Hoopis) of Johnston, Lisa DiBiasio (Daniel) of Cranston, Matthew Pallini (Joanna) of Cranston and the late James “Jimmy” Fleet; cherished and loving grandfather of Nicholas Willner, Ryan Ludwig, Katie Fleet, Angelina DiBiasio, Matteo Fleet, Luca DiBiasio and Rocco Pallini; and dear brother of the late Joyce Belluscio and Robert Fleet.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 9:30 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by burial with military honors at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS are Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
