James J. Izzo
74, of Foster passed away on Sunday January 19, 2014 at
St. Lucie Medical Center, in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
He was the husband of Elke (Viehl) Izzo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Norma Helen (McGee) Izzo. James was a carpenter for many years and was a US Army veteran and worked for the motor pool at the 102nd Air National Guard. Besides his wife he was the father of Robin Scott, James Izzo, Jr., Carla Lacombe and Robin Smeraldo. He was the grandfather of eight and brother of Gaetano Izzo and Jacquelyn Riccitelli.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by committal prayers with military honors in RI Veteran Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
Visiting hours are Friday Evening at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Multiple Sclerosis Society of RI 205 Hallene Road Suite 209 Warwick, RI 02886.
