James R. Monti

75, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of forty years to Ann Marie E. Folcarelli. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Aniello and Emilie (Irza) Monti. Jim was a speech pathologist for Family Services of RI at Mount Pleasant Academy for ten years before his retirement. He was also a self-employed commercial fisherman for thirty years. Jim was involved in community theater for many years. He enjoyed hiking, traveling and his pets.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, James R. Monti, Jr. and his wife Maria, Kimberly M. Fyfe and her husband Richard of Hopkinton and Alan E. Monti and his wife Holly of Dripping Springs, TX. Jim was the cherished grandfather of  Emily, Ashley, Brittany, Max, and Valentina, and was the great-grandfather of Carter and Jakob. He was the brother of the late Eleanor Dyer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his VISITING HOURS on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt.1A) Narragansett. Burial will be private. Kindly omit flowers.
