James V. Rodi

80, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of fifty-seven years to Virginia (DerToumaian) Rodi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Anna (Keegan) Rodi. James was a foreman at the former American Ring Company for over twenty years before his retirement. He also was the manager at his brother's former gas station Rodi Sunoco in West Warwick for over twenty years. Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Tina Marie Newmann of Cranston, and Lisa A. Estrada of Johnston, and the late Veronica Ann Ruzzo. He was the cherished grandfather of Cory, Ashley, Randy, Amber, Chris and Tyrell. James was the brother of the late William P. Rodi. His funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8 p.m.
