James J. Rossi

 Born on May 21, 1987, of Cranston, Rhode Island, passed away on September 18, 2026. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. James lived a life defined by generosity, kindness, and a spirit larger than life itself.

James was the son of Charles Rossi and Michele Lemeuix and the stepson of Toni Zarro. He is survived by his brother, Michael Rossi, his grandmother Marie Rossi, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who cherished him deeply.

Standing 6'4", James had a presence that filled every room — not just because of his height — but because of his warmth, humor, and unmistakable personality. James lived life on his own terms and approached every moment with intention and positivity. He loved a challenge and was dedicated to reaching any goal he set for himself. He possessed a mind that never stopped learning. He enjoyed seeing new places and developing new skills. James was at his happiest around family and friends. He made sure everyone around him felt welcome, valued, and included.

A graduate of the University of Rhode Island, James earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree and proudly worked alongside his father, brother, and uncle in the family business, Phred’s Drug. His dedication to his profession and his community reflected the heart he put into everything he did.

James also leaves behind his beloved dog Layla. She was his constant companion and source of comfort. Their bond was deep and Layla was truly a part of his family.

James leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and unwavering loyalty. His absence will be felt deeply but his impact will live on in the many lives he touched.

In honor of James’s wishes, his family invites all who knew him to celebrate his life — to remember his laughter, strength, and the joy he brought into every room. May we carry his spirit forward by living fully, loving deeply, and cherishing the moments we share.

His funeral arrangements will be private.
