100, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Edith (Thompson) Salvatore. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Angelo and Rose (Aceto) Salvatore.
James worked for the Brunswick Corporation for many years until his retirement. He was also an avid golfer.
He is survived by his loving children, Barbara Dorazio of Coventry, James Salvatore, Jr. of Cranston, Cathy Goulin of Warwick, Joseph Salvatore of Cranston, and the late Lorraine Baker; 6 cherished grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Elmwood Ave., Cranston. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations in James memory may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, P.O Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101.
