James M. "Michael" Sweeney

of Cranston, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 at Kent Hospital in Warwick.  He was the cherished husband of Patricia (Spizzirri) Sweeney.  Born in Providence, Michael was the son of the late James E. and Marion Sweeney. He was also the beloved child of Mary McKenna. Mr. Sweeney was employed for Verizon for over 25 years as an HVAC Technician, before retiring.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving son James J. Sweeney of Cranston, and mother in-law Dolores Spizzirri.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston at 10 a.m.  VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 4-8 p.m.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
