James V. Yeitz


67, of Cranston, a retired Campus Police Officer at Rhode Island College, died on Monday October 20, 2014 at St. Anne's Hospital in Fall River after a battle with cancer. He was the husband of Anne Ruddick. Jimmy served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
A lifelong resident of Cranston, he was the son of the late James V. and Anna "Lucy" (Fraccola) Yeitz Sr. He was the brother of Ralph T. Yeitz of Cranston and the late Charles Yeitz. He was also survived by a niece, nephew, and his loving cousins.
Jimmy enjoyed playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle, hiking, camping, photography, making people laugh and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by burial with military honors in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting hours SATURDAY MORNING from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
