On Sunday April 16, 2023, James (Jimmy) Beckman (CFD RET DEPUTY CHIEF), loving husband, cherished brother and father of two devoted children passed away at age 61.
A lifelong Rhode Islander, Jimmy was born on December 22,1961 to the late Charles (CPD) and Leoda (Bailey) Beckman, RN. He graduated from Cranston High School West and married the late Linda laciofano Beckman.
Together they raised two sons, Michael (WFD) and Brandon in the town of Coventry.
Jimmy is also survived by his siblings, Karen Simpson (Glen), Mark Beckman (Isabelle), Donna Antonacci (Peter) and the late Charles (Alan) Beckman. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and was cherished by all.
Jimmy loved his life as a firefighter, retiring in 2017. He loved to travel and spend as much time as he could at his summer camp in Maine. Recently he had been spending his winters in Florida.
He was always the unpredictable uncle, the laugh and life of any party. He was also known for his fashion nonsense - despite his wife's attempts at reform. Please consider honoring Jim by wearing your "Loudest" or "Tropical" like attire. He will be sorely missed.
Friends and relatives are invited to VISITING HOURS on Saturday April 29,2023, from 2-6pm at Nardolillo Funeral Home and Crematory, 1278 Park Ave, Cranston.
