Janice M. (Golato) Gentile

69, of Smithfield, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of her caregiver and best friend, Albert Gentile, to whom she was married for 48 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Tridente) Golato, her loving parents. Janice worked at the Comprehensive Cancer Center for many years, before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Michael's Church in Smithfield. She loved reading, traveling, going to the casino, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her amazing children; her daughter Kristen Boie and her fiancAC. Alan Comello, and her son Christopher Gentile and his wife Jeannine. Janice was the cherished grandmother of Alexander and Austin Boie, and Ethan, Luke, and Brooke Gentile. Her funeral service will be held in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. VISITING HOURS are Saturday 5:00-7:00 p.m. Burial will be private.
