Jean E. (Peters) Brooks

of Warwick, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2017.  She was the beloved wife of Dr. Robert G. Brooks for 50 years.  Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lena (Imondi) Peters.

Jean worked for the Cranston School Department as an Administrative Secretary for Cranston High School East and Western Hills Junior High School.  She also worked as a school secretary at St. Timothy’s Parish Elementary School.  Then, she worked in retail sales for the former Jordan Marsh Department Store and Macy’s.  Lastly, she was a bridal consultant for Macy’s before retiring.  Jean loved reading, arts and crafts, cross stitching, cake decorating, traveling, and being a homemaker.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Brooks Hutchinson and her husband David of Providence, Robert G. Brooks, Jr. and his wife Kristin of Cranston; cherished grandchildren Justin Robert Brooks, Jack Brooks Hutchinson, and Blake Edward Brooks; dear siblings Robert Peters and his wife Carleen of Coventry, and Judith Peters of Cranston.  She also leaves 4 nieces, 6 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Timothy Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick.  Burial will take place in Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.  VISITING HOURS are Friday 5 - 8 p.m.
