Jean (Murphy) Catanzaro

formerly of Hope, RI, passed away on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at The Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville.  She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Catanzaro.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Jane (O’Neil) Murphy.

Mrs. Catanzaro was the children’s librarian at the Hope Library in Scituate for 25 years before retiring.

She was the devoted mother of Paul Catanzaro of Johnston, David Catanzaro, Christopher Catanzaro, Peter Catanzaro and Andrew Catanzaro, all of Scituate; loving grandmother of nine; loving great-grandmother of three; and dear sister of the late James Murphy, Paul Murphy and Joanna Coyne.

Visiting hours to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Monday, April 9th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Her funeral will be private.
