Jean Nota, 85 of Providence passed away peacefully on Friday July 7, 2023, with her family by her side. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Volatile) Lepre. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Nota.

Jean was an avid sports fan. She was a longtime fan of the New York Yankees, and more recently the Boston Red Sox. She also enjoyed watching the New England Patriots and the Boston Celtics. She was a lifelong communicant of St. Anthony’s Church in Providence, until it’s closing. Her life was family focused, her children and grandchildren were where she spent most of her time.  She was a regular fan at her children and grandchildren’s games, rooting them on, win or lose.

Jean was the loving mother of Donna Nota-Barrows and her husband Reginald, Kenneth Nota and his wife Patricia, Michael Nota, the late Albert J. Nota. Jr., and her daughter-in-law Lori Nota.  She devoted and loving grandmother of her nine grandchildren, and she was soon to be a first-time great grandmother. She was the sister of Richard Lepre, she was predeceased by her four siblings Edward Lepre, Rose Lepre, Anna Mercurio and Robert Lepre.

Her funeral will leave at 9:15am on Thursday July 13, 2023, from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholemew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence, RI 02909. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. VISITING HOURS will be held from Wednesday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
