Jeanne (Bongiovanni) Bray

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeanne Bongiovanni Bray, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. Jeanne’s bright light left this world far too soon, but the joy and love she brought to everyone around her will never be forgotten.

Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce Bray; her loving mother, Jean Bongiovanni; her father, Joseph R. Bongiovanni; and her stepmother, Anne Bongiovanni. She also leaves behind her sister, Kristen Kirwin; her brother, Joseph M. Bongiovanni, and his wife, Holly Bongiovanni. Jeanne was a proud and caring aunt to her four nephews: Joseph (B), Jake, Ben, and Tommy, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Jeanne and Bruce shared a beautiful life together, in sunny Florida, full of love and laughter for over 14 years. Whether it was taking a long ride on his Harley, or a short walk with their sweet puppy Jersey, Bruce and Jeanne brought each other comfort and happiness.

Growing up, Jeanne loved spending time with friends and family. She was always the life of the party and was never afraid to be herself. There are so many fun memories; playing games with neighborhood friends, enjoying movie nights with her siblings, or enjoying Anne’s delicious food, that was often served up as a late night breakfast after a night out. These were some of the best times-so much fun and lots of laughter!

Jeanne cherished the time she spent with her friends and family, and even enjoyed some modeling school. She loved to look her best and had the most beautiful smile.

Jeanne got to share her passion for caring for children by becoming a nanny. Her big heart, kind nature, and playful spirit made her a wonderful fit for this. Jeanne also enjoyed working with her father on his catering truck, where her fun-loving nature and outgoing personality made her a favorite wherever she went. The best part of this for Jeanne was her bond with her Dad. These moments together, gave Jeanne a sense of grounding and peace. She felt the same fulfillment talking with her mom on the phone and making sure Mom had everything she needed.

More than anything, Jeanne was strong. She fought every single day for her happiness. While some days were harder than others, her passion for life and her deep love for her family never wavered. Her strength, resilience, and courage will be remembered just as much as her beauty—inside and out.

Jeanne will be forever missed and always thought of with love.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 9th, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Her burial is respectfully private.
