Jeannette 'Jean' (Pizzuti) Cannata

68, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Cranston, following a long battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of forty-eight years to Ronald J. Cannata. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Flora (Piccirillo) Pizzuti. Jean was employed as a dental assistant, she also worked in the credit department for the former Peerless Department Store, and at Providence College in the student center. She enjoyed reading, homemaking, and spending time with her family. Jean was a strong and selfless woman who was loved by everyone who knew her. Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children, Christopher J. Cannata and his wife Christine, and Jeffrey P. Cannata and his wife Jacqueline, all of Cranston. Jean was the mother of the late Joseph Cannata. She was the cherished grandmother of Andrew C. Cannata of Cranston. Jean was the sister of Marie DeLuca and her husband Donato of Cranston. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
