Jennifer L. Plante

55, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at home surrounded by her devoted family.  Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy Phillips.  Jennifer was a Registered Nurse for the state of RI for 30 years.  Jennifer was also a Major serving in the 399th Combat Support Hospital in the U.S. Army Reserves for the past 8 years.

She is survived by her children Kyle Phillips and his wife April Phillips, Katelyn Quinn, Dylan Plante, and Cameron Plante, all of Cranston. Jennifer was the cherished grandmother of Hannah Phillips and Austin McIntyre.  She was the beloved sister of Valerie Phillips, Laura Oliva, Carrie-Ann Phillips, and the late Bruce Phillips. Jennifer also leaves behind the father of the children Gary Plante, her soulmate Jay McTernan, many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston at 11:00 a.m. Military Honors will take place outside of the church directly following the Mass. VISITING HOURS: Saturday MORNING from 8:00-10:00 a.m.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers or gifts, Jennifer would be honored if donations were made to "Homes for Troops" charitable organization at hfotusa.org.
