65, of Cranston, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 12, 2026, after a 3-year courageous battle with ALS. She was the beloved wife of Robert Bailey for 3 years. JoAnn & Bob were actively involved and committed to the ALS community here in RI, finding comfort in shared experiences at patient and caregiver support groups. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Albert Testa Sr., and Catherine (Cece) Testa. She was a beloved and dedicated administrative assistant at the Catholic Youth Organization, where her commitment and hard work were appreciated by all.
Beyond her career, JoAnn embraced life with enthusiasm and vibrant energy. She was a competitive domino aficionado, finding joy and challenge in the game. Her love for traveling opened her heart to new experiences. Whether it was bowling with friends, spending peaceful moments on the beach, tending to her garden, or gathering loved ones for a home cooked meal around the table, JoAnn’s passions were as diverse as they were deeply cherished. She particularly enjoyed nights out dancing, sharing laughter and fun in the company of her friends and family.
Besides her husband Robert, she is survived by her loving children, Michael Angell and his wife Marie of Phoenix, AZ, Elizabeth Angell of Cranston and her stepson Brandon Bailey of North Kingstown. JoAnn was the cherished sister of Albert Testa Jr., of Lincoln. She also leaves behind her adored grand dog Baer.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 16th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston.
