81, of Johnston, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 6, 2016. Joan was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward A. Brouillette and Alice (Murphy) Brouillette. She was the beloved wife of Robert L. Ricci Sr. They were married in 1955. Besides her husband Robert, Joan is survived by her devoted daughters, Pamela Ricci Danis (Robert), Lynn Ricci Paton, Toni-Jean Ricci, Janice Ricci and Joanne Ricci Galli (Steven). She had a special love and adoration to her son, Robert L. Ricci Jr.; and was the cherished grandmother of Samantha Joan Galli, James Douglas Galli and Michael James Paton. Joan was predeceased by her beautiful infant daughter, Lynn Marie Ricci. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Claire Picard and Alice Skinner.
Joan was a 1952 graduate of Hope High School, Providence. She was a bookkeeper at Cable electric before dedicating her life to raising her children and enjoying her grandchildren. Joan was a parishioner of St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston for over 60 years, as well as a catechist. Joan enjoyed homemaking, entertaining, crocheting, playing piano and most importantly enjoying the company of her family and friends. She was spirited, friendly and never lacked compassion for others. Joan had an incredible ability to find Joy and hope throughout her life.

Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston.
