Johanne Johanna T. (Ginolfi) Polisena
Of Johnston, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2014. She was the wife of the late Vincent A. Polisena. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Mary (Ascenzi) Ginolfi. She worked for the RI Department of Elderly Affairs for 29 years retiring in 2002.
Mrs. Polisena was a devoted sister to Carole A. Ginolfi and Linda M. Castaldi and her husband Vincent, all of Johnston. She was the loving aunt and godmother of Steven J. Castaldi, his wife Jennifer and their daughter, Julia. In addition, she is survived by loving and caring step-children, Vincent J. Polisena, his wife Tammy and their daughter, Sophia, and Lisa DiNobile, her husband Stephen and their children, Nina and Aria. She also leaves many loving aunts and cousins, especially our faithful cousin Cheryl Ascenzi. Johanne had a warm, caring heart and was generous to all her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Rd., Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. At Mrs. Polisena's request, visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Grace Church Memorial Fund, 4 Lafayette St., Johnston, RI 02919.
