of Warwick, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Betsy E. (Ferguson) Bankauskas. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Agzabas and Annie (Markavich) Bankauskas.
John was a hydraulic technician for Leviton Mfg. Company for 41 years before retiring; and served in the U.S Marine Corps during the Vietnam era.
He was the devoted father of Karen E. Murphy and her husband Marcus of Warwick, John E. Bankauskas, Jr. and his wife Deborah of Coventry, Michael R. Bankauskas of Warwick and Lisa J. Bankauskas-Mosca and her husband Keith of Warwick; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was the dear brother of Frances Guilmette of Johnston, Barbara Adams of West Warwick and the late Louise Williams.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday, March 29th at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Liturgy Outside Mass in St. Kevin’s Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS are WEDNESDAY from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
