John E. Campagnone

John E. Campagnone

87, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 10, 2018.  He was the beloved husband of the late Ida (Serrecchia) Campagnone.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Angelo and Priscilla (Lauro) Campagnone.

John was the co-owner of Caserta Pizzeria in Providence, previously he was a salesman for various rock salt companies for many years before his retirement.  John was a US Marine Veteran of the Korean War, an avid sports fan and was a former member of the Italo American Club, Alpine Country Club, Metacomet Country Club, and Tabor Franchi VFW Post #2369.

He was the loving father of Patti Wise of Providence, John E. Campagnone, Jr. of Cranston; dear grandfather of Alysha, Aindrea, Cristina and John and great grandfather of Anthony and Lorenzo.  He was the brother of the late Dorothy Marinosci and Robert Campagnone.

His funeral will be held on Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101.
