John J. Carvalho, Sr

61, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at RI Hospital, Providence. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Manuel and Mildred (Brothers) Carvalho. John was employed for the Cranston School Department for 29 years; and also was employed at Olneyville New York System for 40 years.
He is survived by his loving children, Leigh Anne Carvalho and John J. Carvalho, Jr both of Cranston, his cherished grandson Cayden, his dear siblings, Michael Carvalho of Johnston, Joan Lawrence of Providence, Linda Duffy and her husband Francis of Warwick and Manuel Carvalho and his wife Laura of Warwick. He was also the loving companion of Roberta "Robyn" Parsons of Cranston and is survived by several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Monday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mark's Church, Garden City, Cranston. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4-8 pm.
