89, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 66 years to Anna (Ruggieri) Casale. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Amelia (Broccoli) Casale.
John was the founder of John Casale & Sons Painting Company. He was a WW-II U.S. Marine Corps veteran and participated in action in the Pacific Theater. He was dedicated to his family and generous to all; and was an avid New York Yankee fan and a personal friend of Joe Torre.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Alan, John III, James and his wife Dawn, Stephen and his wife Karen, Thomas and Charles Casale, Linda Newsham and her husband Gerald, Jeanne Garafano and her husband Ronald, Anne Caruso and her husband Peter and Maria Casale; loving grandfather of eighteen; and loving great-grandfather of ten. He was the dear brother of Maria Vallante, Anthony and Robert Casale and the late Elizabeth Fasano, Stephen, Raymond and Silvio Casale.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
