of Dedham, MA, formerly of Cranston, RI, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Born in Providence, RI, he was the devoted son of the late Edward and Marion (Bonanni) DeLorenzo and dear brother of the late Judith Marziali. He is survived by his loving nieces, Kara Marziali and Dayna Mendolia; brother-in-law Ralph Marziali; four great-nephews; several cousins; and close friends.
Jack graduated from LaSalle Academy in Providence, Boston College and Northeastern University. He was a dedicated educator who spent more than 40 years of his professional career teaching, counseling and guiding students. He was Director of Guidance and Admissions at Arlington Catholic High School, and prior to that was Director of Admissions at Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Jack had a passion for performing arts and directed many student and community theatre performances over the years. He was also an avid theatre-goer and greatly enjoyed attending performances in Boston and New York.
Jack was a kind and caring man with a wonderful sense of humor, who will be missed by his family and friends.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, RI on Wednesday, May 31st at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark Church, 15 Garden Court, Cranston at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
