John J. Fransosi
96, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Morgan Health Center in Johnston. He was the husband of the late Dorothy (Greco) Fransosi. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Anthony and Anna (Oddi) Fransosi.
John was a WW II Army Veteran, and a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He worked as a Superintendent in the Providence Post Office until his retirement.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Lynne D. Tutalo and her husband Anthony, and Sharon Taraksian-Essex, all of Johnston. He was the brother of the late Mary, Salvatore, George and Arthur Fransosi.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10:15am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:15am in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave., Providence. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Saturday morning 9 to 10:15am.
