John S. Hill, Jr
51, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 peacefully at home. He was the beloved husband of Cecilia (Moscarelli) Hill. Born in Germany, he was a son of John S. Hill, Sr. of Johnston and Nancy (Balcom) Spinney of Florida.
John worked as a journeyman lineman for the IBEW Local 104 for many years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving for 3 years and then served 4 years in the Army National Guard.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his loving daughter Alyssa Hill of Cranston, granddaughter Aubrey Hill of Cranston, paternal grandmother Madeline Hill of Johnston, nephew Joseph A. Hill, Jr. of Florida, and was brother of the late Joseph A. Hill, Sr.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday at 10:00 a.m. followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in St. David's on the Hill Episcopal Church, 200 Meshanticut Valley Pkwy, Cranston, with Military Honors to follow. Burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of John Hill may be made to Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island Hospital 593 Eddy St., Providence, RI 02903.
