John J. Iaciofano, Sr

John J. Iaciofano, Sr

89, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at Roger Williams Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband to the late Isabell (Peters) Iaciofano for 61 years, and companion and dear friend of Joan Vear. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Michael Iaciofano, Sr. and Assunta (Musto) Iaciofano. Mr. Iaciofano was a textile printer for Cranston Print Works for 46 years until his retirement. John was a world class fisherman, he also enjoyed clamming, gardening, electrical work and spending time with his beautiful family. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WW II.

John is survived by his loving children Georgia Zuena and her husband Claudio, Joan Parenteau and her husband Jason and John Iaciofano, Jr. all of Cranston. Cherished grandfather of Melissa Saccoccio and her husband Bruce; great-grandfather of Adriana, Sophia and Olivia Saccoccio. A brother of Michael Iaciofano, Jr. of North Kingstown, Nancy Simmons of FL, Janet Shutt of Cranston, the late Mary Mertin and Victor Iaciofano.

His funeral will be held on Friday, February 6th, at 10:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday morning from 9:00-10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675.
