John V. Pitocco

86, of Johnston, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine J. (Dello Iacono) Pitocco.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late James and Angelina (Ricci) Pitocco.

John worked hard all his life.  He loved to spend time outside enjoying his yard and creating various building projects.  Most of all, John loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and dedicated his life to nurturing them and providing a warm and happy home.

He is survived by his loving children, James J. Pitocco and his wife Melissa of Attleboro, MA and Joan S. Pitocco of Johnston, RI; cherished grandchildren Gabrielle M. Pitocco of West Roxbury, MA and Jessica J. Pitocco of Smithfield, RI and step-grandchildren Brian and Sarah Maher both of Attleboro, MA.  He was the brother of the late Gena DeMarco, Vincent and Anthony Pitocco.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on MONDAY MORNING from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
