John P. Prior
75, of Leading St., Johnston, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia A. (Allard) Prior. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Patrick and Rita (Barron) Prior.
Mr. Prior was a machinist at the former Brown & Sharpe Company for 12 years and later was employed as a laborer with the Brick Mason Union in Warwick for 15 years. He served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was an avid gardener.
He was the devoted father of Lisa M. Rodenbaugh and her husband Keith of Zephyr Hills, FL, John P. Prior, Jr. of Johnston and James R. Prior and his wife Joyce of Coventry; loving grandfather of Tara, Jamie and Gary Harrison and Shayna Prior; loving great-grandfather of Corey Raposa, Landon and Khaila Harrison and J J Vargas; and dear brother of James T. Prior of Cranston, William Prior of FL and Rita Potenza of North Providence.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday, April 28th at 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
VISITING HOURS are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
