74, of Warwick, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Cherry Hill Manor, Johnston. John was the beloved husband of Judith (Conboy) for fifty-one years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Clement and Elizabeth (Fantozzi) Soscia. John began his career as a teacher and coach before becoming the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Cranston for over 20 years. Prior to his retirement he was a sales representative for several New England companies. John was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan. The center of his life was his love and devotion to his family; especially his five grandchildren.
Besides his wife, Judith, he is survived by his two loving children, John C. Soscia and Tracie of Cranston and Bethanie S. French and Brad of Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of Isabella, Julianna, Samuel, Johnny and Jacob. John was the brother of Clement Soscia and Patricia of Westerly. He was the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine’s Church 3252 Post Road, Warwick. Visiting hours and burial are private.
