John P. Scienzo
91, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Roseanne (DeVito) Scienzo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Concetta (Amato) Scienzo.
Mr. Scienzo was the owner of the former Scienzo Plumbing Company. He was a WW-II U.S. Army combat veteran and recipient of the Purple Heart Medal.
Mr. Scienzo was the devoted father of John A. Scienzo and his wife Deborah of Coventry and Jean A. Martin and her husband Richard of Cranston; loving grandfather of Diane Martin, Richard Martin, Jr. and Jacquelyn Gesterling; loving great-grandfather of Victoria; and dear brother of the late Raymond and Tobio Scienzo, Anna Snyzyck, Mary Capuano and Matilda "May" Giarrusso.
A private funeral service with military honors was held on Friday, October 23rd at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
