John 'Jack' D. McNeill

87, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Roberts Health Centre in North Kingstown.  He was married to his “lovely bride” Rita (Iannuccillo) McNeill for 54 years.  Born in Providence, RI he was the son of the late John and Catherine (Geatar) McNeill.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Michael McNeill and his wife Darlene of Cumberland, Jennifer Stearns and her husband Joseph of Narragansett, and John D. McNeill II; his precious grandchildren Tyler McNeill, Ryan McNeill and Madison Stearns.

Jack worked as an Insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance for 35 years.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving for over 37 years.  He served in the Korean War and was part of the C.I.D.  He also received numerous citations and commendations including a Bronze Service Star and Bronze Star Medal with Valor.  His family would like to give special thanks to the staffs at Hope Hospice, Roberts Health Centre, South County Hospital and the Narragansett Fire Department.

His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory-SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.  Burial with Military Honors will take place in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.  VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m.
