Jose "Joe" Amar

59, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026. He was preceded by the love of his life, Nicole Cianci. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Audrey (Fitts) Dolat. He is survived by his children, Olivia, Joseph, Julius, and Lindsey. His children remember him for his humor, impressions, and encouragement. He taught them that if they started something, it was important to finish strong. They will miss his sauce, his cheesecake, and his advice.

Joe was the brother of Dawn Dolat and a much-loved uncle to his nephews Mason, Avelino, and Noah, and his niece Selena. He also leaves many great nieces and nephews behind.

Joe worked as a groundskeeper at Triggs golf course for many years. He had a way of making an impression on the people around him, He had a presence that could not be ignored. Joe was a lover of music and movies.

Though his time with us was far too short, Joe leaves behind a family who loved him, memories that will be shared for years to come, and enough stories to keep his memory alive.

VISITING HOURS will be held on Saturday, September 19th from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will be private.
