Joseph A. Cardillo

89, of Foster, formerly of Plainfield Pike, Johnston, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Rose (Barone) Cardillo. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Pietro and Filomena (Marandola) Cardillo. Mr. Cardillo was a vegetable and flower farmer all his life; he was a member of the former Governor's Dyers Farmers Market, Providence. Joseph is survived by his loving children Linda Filippone of Foster, Rhonda Stanzione of Scituate, and Peter Cardillo and wife Jacqueline of Foster. Papa Joe of Joseph Cardillo, David Filippone, Pasha Murphy, Dante Stanzione and the late Vincent Stanzione, Jr.; great-grandfather of Peter Cardillo, Sophia Filippone, and Paul Gemma, Jr.; brother of the late Thomas Cardillo, Pasco, Leonard, and Nicholas Russo. His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 927 Atwood Avenue, Johnston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
