73, of D'Ercole Drive, passed away peacefully on Saturday Jan. 24th 2015 surrounded by his loving and devoted family. He was the beloved husband of Sandra A. D'Ercole for 46 years & son of the late Arthur & Rose (Vacca) D'Ercole.
Joseph was the devoted father of Arthur & Paul J. D'Ercole and his wife Dawn. He was the loving grandfather of Alyssa, Joseph, Adam, Gianna, Cara, Marisa & Victoria. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Ducharme and her husband Frank and loving nieces & nephews.
Joseph was an equipment operator and became a member of local 57 operators union. After 14 years in the construction industry he founded J. D'Ercole Construction. Several years later he joined his two sons and started D'Ercole Construction which engaged in utility & site work construction. He was the president of the business for 36 years. He loved his profession and had an outstanding work ethic. He was dedicated to the family business and continued to operate until his passing.
In his spare time he enjoyed restoring classic cars & spending time with his family and friends. His kindness and generosity touched many lives and he will forever be missed.
His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
