Joseph DiClemente, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away in Atlanta, Georgia on November 25, 2025, with his beloved wife, Babette DiClemente, by his side. Born in Providence, Rhode Island on October 29, 1956, Joseph lived life with a passion for conversation and a deep belief in the power of human connection.
Joseph graduated from Mount Pleasant High School, where he served as president of the Class of 1974. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Rhode Island and his career in power systems sales allowed him to travel and forge friendships around the world.
Joseph was an accomplished track and field athlete, football player, and lifelong baseball enthusiast. From playing with boyhood friends on the streets of Mt. Pleasant in the 1960s to coaching Atlanta senior leagues in the 2010s, Joseph’s pursuit of the perfect baseball swing was not just for love of the game, it was for love of the community.
His family was a source of great joy, and he took pride in their accomplishments. Joseph is survived by his wife, Babette DiClemente; his son, Adam J. DiClemente, and his daughter Tanya DiClemente, and her fiancé, Emeka Abanifi. Joseph leaves behind his beloved sister, Anita Boschetti; as well as his chosen brother, Joseph Capobianco.
Joseph was predeceased by his father, Giuseppe DiClemente; mother, Pasqualina (DiRoberto) DiClemente; sister, Eva Colvin; and brother, Dante DiClemente.
Joseph DiClemente will be remembered for his love for life, kind heart, and open mind, as well as the generosity and laughter he brought into the lives of others. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched—through his work, his friendships, and his family.
