Joseph DiOrio

80, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, February 14, 2015 at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of sixty years to Anna S. (Vessella) DiOrio. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alexander and Virginia (Supinski) DiOrio. Joseph was a machinist for the former EG&G Sealol Company of Cranston for twenty-four years before retiring in 1999. He was a career US Air Force veteran serving during both the Korean and Vietnam War era. Joseph was a member and Past Commander at the Tabor-Franchi VFW Post # 2396, Cranston. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, JoAnn M. DiOrio of Cranston, and Joseph DiOrio, Jr. and his wife Denise of North Providence. He was the cherished grandfather of Jason J. DiOrio and his fiancAC.e Anna Gregoire of Cranston, Janelle M. DiOrio of Dallas, TX, and Joseph DiOrio, III of West Warwick. His funeral service and burial with Military Honors will be private.
