98, of Plainfield Pike, Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Antonia Della (Landi) Golini for 62 years. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late William J. and Rosina (Zanfagna) Golini.
Mr. Golini was the owner and operator of the former Golini Drug for over 50 years in the Thornton section of Cranston. The pharmacy was founded by his father William J. Golini in 1912. He graduated from Providence College in 1939 and RI College of Pharmacy in 1943, later known as URI School of Pharmacy. In his retirement, he was an avid gardener who enjoyed growing plants, vegetables and flowers; and sharing them with his loving family and friends.
He was the devoted father of William J. Golini, MD of Jamestown and Rosemary J. Golini of Cranston; loving grandfather of Lee Joseph Golini of North Kingstown and the late Christopher Alves Golini; and dear brother of Delores Leone of Johnston and the late Edmund, Lawrence, and Alfred Golini.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
