Joseph J. Pasonelli

74, of Wakefield and formerly of Cranston, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence.  He was the beloved husband of Virginia H. “Ginny” (Rubery) Pasonelli for 50 years.  Born in Providence, Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Concetta (Falina) Pasonelli.  He was a Principal for the North Providence and Cranston School Departments as well as St. Joseph’s Catholic School in West Warwick.  Joe was a faithful communicant at St. Mary’s Church in Cranston.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Lisa Leaheey and her husband Neal of Cranston, and Marc Pasonelli and his wife Christine of Colorado Springs.  Joe was the dear brother of the late Judy Petrarca.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston, on Monday at 10 a.m.  VISITING HOURS will be held on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, Mother Teresa Fund, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick, RI 02893.
