Joseph Perry

89, of Cranston, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Cedar Crest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cranston. Joseph was the husband of Elvira (Strongoli) Perry. Mr. Perry was a Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He was a carpenter for many years, and a member of the MA and RI Carpenters Unions. Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Diane Perry of Newark, Delaware and Ann Perry-Marcotte of Cranston. Joseph was the father of the late Elaine Cerrito and is the father-in-law of William Cerrito. He was the grandfather of Chris Cerrito and his wife Jenna, Lauren Cerrito, and Malaree Marcotte. Joseph was the brother of the late Edith Turcotte and Eva Fontes. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joseph was the most loving father, grandfather, husband and uncle anyone could hope to have. His funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark's Church, Garden City, Cranston at 10:00 a.m. VISITING HOURS are Monday from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Burial, with Military Honors, will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence 02904.
