86, of Cranston, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise Ruggieri. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Maria Civita (Picano) Ruggieri. Joseph worked as a meat cutter for the former J. Ruggieri and Sons market in Cranston for many years. He also worked as a cook for DCYF. He was a former member of the 88th Army Band, the St. Mary's Feast Society, and the Knightsville Seniors. He is survived by his loving children, Richard J. Ruggieri and his wife Jean of Cranston, and Cynthia A. Tramontano and her husband Richard Camp of Cranston; his cherished grandchildren, Michael V. Tramontano and Dabelba, Vincent Tramontano IV, Jessica, David and Melissa Ruggieri and his great grandson Michael; his siblings Edward Ruggieri and his wife Anne D. of Cranston, and Robert Ruggieri and Dennis Ewanick of Bangkok, Thailand. His funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, 1291 Elmwood Ave., Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
