Joseph A. Salemi

75, of Cranston, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the R.I. Veterans Home in Bristol.  He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Russas) Salemi.  Born in Manhattan, NY he was the son of the late Joseph “Pete” and Josephine (Governale) Salemi.

Joseph was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War era.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Joseph Salemi II and his wife Susan of Clinton, CT, Marissa Giacobbe and her husband John of New Rochelle, NY, Daniel Salemi and his fiancée Janna Kyllästinen of Queens, NY, and his cherished grandchildren Grace Marcello-Stamm, Giuliana Salemi, Liliana Giacobbe.  He was the brother of the late John Salemi.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston.  Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Thursday 5 – 8 p.m.
