Joseph T. "Papa" Scungio

72, of Providence, passed away on Saturday September 17, 2016 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of Suzanna (Lisi) Scungio for 52 years.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ella (Moretti ) Scungio.  Joe was the founder with his son Jonathan of All-Weather Heating & Air Conditioning and also worked for the City of Providence.

Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Joseph T. Scungio, Jr.and Jonathan A. Scungio and his wife Jennifer all of Cranston; loving grandfather of Joseph, Gabriel, Jeremy and Zachary, all of Cranston; and dear brother of Ann Bottone of West Warwick and Eileen Mercurio of East Greenwich.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew’s Church, 305 Laurel Hill Ave., Providence at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
