Joseph L. Simeone

83, of Johnston, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the Cherry Hill Manor in Johnston. He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Fusco) Simeone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Santina (Andreozzi) Simeone.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, David Simeone and his companion Chiara Piccirilli, Gina Simeone and her husband John Laurie; his treasured siblings Anthony Simeone and his wife Flora, Annette Stabile and her husband Russell, and Robert “Rocky” Simeone. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Joseph dedicated his life to education, serving as Principal of Stephen Olney Elementary School in North Providence for many years and, earlier, as Athletic Director at North Providence High School. He was proud to be a graduate of Providence College and went on to earn his Master’s Degree in History from Rhode Island College.

Outside of his career, Joseph found joy on the golf course and peace while fishing, two of his favorite pastimes. He loved the camaraderie of a good round of golf, as well as the quiet moments spent by the water. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and friends, who will remember him for his kindness, humor, and unwavering love.

VISITING HOURS will be held Thursday, September 11th from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston.  Burial will be private.
