Joseph R. Tarvis

87, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 14, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Christina B. (Moretti) Tarvis. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Angelina (Zeppa) Tarvis.

Joseph worked for the Carol Cable Company for over 25 years. He was a member of the United Commercial Travelers of America, and more recently the Santa Maria di Prata Society.

Besides his wife Christina, he is survived by his loving daughter Kim M. DeMaula, her husband Robert DeMaula and his grand dog Blake. He was the brother of the late Louis Tarvis and Rosemarie Minuto. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 10:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 am.
